Hi there. I'm not exactly a regular here, but was reading along, and saw several threads about web versions of Bolo in development. So I thought I'd share what I have.

This should work fairly well on newer browsers. I personally use Linux, and develop on Chrome 7 (but 6 should work) and Firefox 3.6 and 4 beta. I also occasionally test on Safari, and I've even had it running on the IE9 previews (don't know the current status there).
I believe it's also fairly complete in terms of gameplay elements. I haven't done a good comparison with Bolo or WinBolo yet.
Folks with Firefox 4 beta or Chrome 7 are in luck, because there's even multiplayer. Some fine folks are running an open free-for-all game; mess it up! (Runs in a west coast datacentre, I believe.)

If you're interested, there is source code. You probably want some familiarity with Git and JavaScript. Find it here:

BTW, does anyone know about the situation with Bolo graphics and sound effects? I'm not sure how to get in contact with Stuart to get his permission. |

To find Stuart, you must first go to the top of the tallest mountain. There you must battle the seven mighty demons, each more fearsome than the last. Once past them, you must cross the lake of fire to reach the Maze Without Beginning or End. In the center of this maze, which has no boundaries or indeed a "center" of any kind, but is filled with winged snakes who become invisible when angered, you will find a towering stone fortress.
If you can evade the mutant hyena-rhinos who surround it, and defeat Gothrim the Ogre who guards the door, and guess the seven-digit combination in three tries or less while under fire from a team of snipers, you will gain entrance to Stuart's lair. At that point, it is a simple matter of locating Stuart before he can make it to his helicopter and escape. He usually sleeps in the room right next to the helicopter pad; it's 25 stories above the entrance you just came through, and Stuart monitors the door by camera obsessively.
Good luck!
