What I did for getting taught was playing better players, then after the game asking them why I lost. "Well, you didn't take pills fast enough." or something to that effect is warranted.

However, I wouldn't recommend bugging the person repeatedly for a critique of your gameplay. That would probably get you a "Because you suck." at best. :)

The problem with a teaching forum is that lessons would be few and far in between because of different time zones if you've only got one teacher. My solution for this is to play most everyone and learn different techniques and styles from other players.

I'm going off on a tangent here, but perhaps if you're playing a REALLY shitty player you could guide your opponent through wise actions? "Okay, now I'd remove that spike instead of attacking." or something to that effect.

Sorry for the jumbled post, I really had no idea how to make the paragraphs flow.

If you are serious about your willingness to read stuff in order to improve your gameplay, then there are a number of people who've already written "lessons" up.

- Check min's website at http://www.min.winbolo.us - strategy section
- Check Jolo's website at http://www.lgm.com/bolo - go to Guides and read several guides - especially Samhain's guide for strategy and Deadsy for how to take pillboxes.
- Check my website at http://fi.winbolo.us - for advice on how to be a good ally no matter your skill level.
- I wrote a "How to become a good winbolo player fast" post you can read here: http://www.winbolo.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43
