Linbolo and Elvis
I assume everyone else here plays on Windows, since I haven't seen too many people complain about the lack of Linux and/or Mac versions of the game.
I expected a Linux version to be released at the same time, as it appears Elvis/John Morrison is using compatibility libraries. Assuming 1.14 is mostly the same code as 1.13, he would only have to type "make" on a Linux machine to build the binary. Possibly for Mac, it might be a few days work to port it.
If Elvis can't get the darn thing to build on his machine and/or needs help getting it ported, I'd be happy to help as I have both development environments.
Along with commercial software development, I also am a free software contributer. I belive Elvis has every right to make money from Winbolo, but at the same time, if he doesn't plan on developing it professionally (making money, support his product, fix bugs), Winbolo will be consigned to the same fate as Mac bolo. There are probably a few people here who would be able to contribute back to the project, and probably somebody who would port Bolo to Mac OSX.
