If you have genuine interest in becoming an internet winbolo player, read the winbolo guide (requires Adobe Reader) that is part of the winbolo program. You will see it after you click on 'help' in the winbolo game main menu. As with most things in life effort produces results.
a GOOD callsign can help too. Also, playing the game helps! Practice makes perfect. Or at leat keeps you inside intel you are overweight and need to do other things.
The biggest tip i can think of is using a two-handed key setup (a large pain in teh ass @ first, but it pays off). Go here: http://winbolo.netfirms.com/keysetup.shtml I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS.

ok step #1 : Do not listen to maddmaxx if you want to be good at bolo.
step #2 : join #winbolo on either .us or .com and usually people will gladly show you a few little quirks to get you on your way.
step #3 : repeat step #1 as much as you can, the kids a complete idiot.
and finally #4 : Practice does make perfect.
