morale of the story...don't leave yourself in a strict game where someone can push you over a base and take everything else just to get points...yeah ud could be wrong if he did that intentionally, but you should be more careful IF you left yourself in the game...if not, then I HAVE NO FREAKIN IDEA
Yes, I *was* caught sleeping after I had joined the game.
There was initially a 3rd player in the game and we were
all waiting for a 4th.
I understand this is what can happen. To see it happen
from someone of ud's caliber is disappointing.
I would like to think of myself as one of the more easy-
going regular players, but I really don't appreciate that
being undermined by stunts like this. Without a certain
degree of civility, winbolo's enjoyability is greatly
diminished. I reject the notion that the 'moral of the
story' is to watch your back against dishonest and
unfair practices at all times. I didn't get into winbolo to
become a rules-lawyer, disputing constantly whether or
not someone started early, refueled or whatever during
hold, or any other understood practice of etiquette.
Especially with established players like ud, I have come
to rely on, for lack of a better term, 'good sportsmanship.'
It saddens me that the circle of trustworthy players is
smaller than I thought it was.

This behavior from UD doesn't surprise me. I remember one time UD joined our game right before we locked up and we all asked him to go but he hung around, argued with us, then called us fags and quit. Then there was the time he was supposed to be an observer in my 1x1 and drove all over the map and tried to kill my lgm. These kinds of things don't really bother me a whole lot, and I still like you UD :D , but Sevvy's right to try to hold the vets up to a basic standard - especially when that standard is so easy to master.

Actually a number of us do care about this issue. I'm waiting to see what Underdog has to say about it, as so far this is quite dissapointing.

Not responding to this topic is kinda giving a bad impression to everyone. I know you havent posted on the forum since mid-april, however you are aware of this thread. Now, if it was one of those usual disreputable flamers (we know who they are) who tend to flame a certain number of us, then it'd be easy to dismiss and ignore.
But, this is severian we're talking about - he is reputable and raising a real charge. At least one person has /msg me asking me why you haven't been banned because of it and why you still have server ops.
Remember UD, you are held to higher scrutinity because of your position in this community.
Most simple one line response would ease things a lot. Here are some one line responses:
"Sorry, I was drunk, it won't happen again"
or
"I didn't do it, someone else stole my pw"
or
"Severian smoked too much pot - he's making it up"
or
"You guys go fuck yourself, I'll do what I feel like doing"
or
"Sorry I had just made love to a shemale and it drove me insane and I did this - it won't happen again"

I am quite aware there is no mechanism in the game to prevent
this from happening. That is why I am bringing the issue here.
ud has offered no apology or explanation about pushing me onto
a base, so the satisfaction I am seeking now is publicizing his unscrupulousness. I hope that if he sees his bullshit will not be
tolerated, he will return to being the good winbolo citizen I know
he can be.
