I have mine turned on all the time, I say why not just leave it on, it's pretty much cheating the ranking system to turn it off when your not at your greatest moment and what not.
I rarely use mine becuase I don't like the way the rankings are done .... boycott ....
Min
lol, that's min 4 ya . I always have mine on :D.
You guys know me, I never ever troll.
But if I'm signed in as "Mad Scout." or "Mad Scout.." or "Mad Scout..." it's because a previous time playing I got booted from the game and tried to rejoin, but the game wouldn't let me in saying that there was already a player with that name (i.e. me) in the game, so I had to go back to the main menu and "not use winbolo.net", then change my name to one of the above versions of my name so that the game thinks I'm someone new and lets me in. I usually forget to change it back and use wbn after that particular game is over, which is what happened in that 16 player game.
I use my account to play open games as well as post maps, and I do believe that Acro is an active winbolo'er. He plays stricts as well as opens.
I use mine because people as me what the asterick means all the time.
Why not use, be proud of Winbolo.net!!!

I always use mine because I'm a little like ren and like to see the stats add up.
i do use it. sometimes, the only time i don't use it is when i just forget to login.
peace
jus what i was wondering..........
Frankly, I get bored playing with the same name game after game after game and games after games. Even with 10 WBN registered names I get bored with them if I play them each much. So hence why I like to think of interesting, fun, or crazy names to play that I use anywhere from once to a few days/weeks.
Also I don't like being ranked under WBN. It makes the games more stressfull, although now it's been quite a long time since I've played a 1v1. I do remember when I did play 1v1 a lot it did raise the stress level.
However, I really enjoy Fermat's Log Viewer. I find it adds an extra enjoying element to the after-game chat with his cool stats and cool graph and it helps analyze the game better. Thus in serious games I try to make it a point to use one of my registered name so the game is registered under his viewer.
And even then, sometimes there are errors - once in a while when I try to join a game with one of my registered name it'll give me an error so I join without registering

ps. As an aside one of my dissapointment with WBN is that I can't even change name during a game as I used to before, even when I'm not logged on WBN. That kind of cuts down on the fun of changing name during a game.
Jeez calm down Mad Scout. There's no way to play serious games (pw games) without people knowing who I am. So I'm pretty sure you've never played a set game without knowing I was me.
Which I find unfortunate - because people think of me as I was at the top of my game and keep putting me in teams that can't win because right now I have a poor playing style relatively speaking. Thus my teams lose a lot more often then if I was placed according to my true current skill. Ah well, it's still fun.
I use my one account and q_snake now because i'm on snake clan and before i used q-mandabomb. before that i made all these other accounts (which i never played on) for my maps (when there were no map collections) i just play under my name all the time cuz i wanna be honest, damnit! non of that pussyshit no ranking crap
Has there ever been i time i haven't used my .net account? :-D
Mad Scout: sounds like you need at least another nick, so that if you can't rejoin a game you can use your 'backup' wbn account :)
But I'm with FireIce, I have around 10 accounts maybe, which I like to mix up with, as I have done since I started playing bolo. Why should Elvis care? What does it take away? Why force wbn players to one nick when you don't/can't with non-wbn'ers? I like to troll (too bad most players know my 'usual' nicks) cuz it got very old to get put with noobs every single game, even when I was suxing. Maybe people shouldn't judge by nick alone, but judge by how they play. I always give an accurate rating of my ability when asked.
BTW it may sound like I'm attacking people who have multiple names registered on wbn. I'm not. You guys are allowed to do it and so you do and that's fine. I just wish it wasn't done.
