Bertuzzi in court? What the fuck?

I cannot fucking believe it! After suspending him for the season, fining him, fining the Canucks ( ), not letting him play on team canada, and making him look bad, they are going to try Todd Bertuzzi; the star of the Vancouver Canucks (who costs us alotta money yet is not allowed to play, for injuring some stupid player on a redneck team who sucked ass anyway a few months back), for assault charges on July ninth! This is fucking bullshit. Hockey is a rough sport. If you cannot handle getting all fucked up by a bigger player like Todd, don't play pro Hockey. The reason Todd hit that guy was because he hit Markus Naslund (The head player of the Vancouver Canucks); put him out for THREE games, and was not even penalized! It's simple hockey justice, and Bertuzzi should not go into any court (AT ALL), for it. He should not even have been suspended for the rest of the season. FUCK!

Todd Bertuzzi made himself look bad.

There is no room in hockey for behavior like his. Yes, this is a man's game and you have to be a man and understand the dangers of it, and sometimes people fight to settle differences, but not in the way Bertuzzi did. If a player has a score to settle with someone else, they have to do it face to face. That's the way it's done. Bertuzzi blindsided Steve Moore and squished him as if he doesn't know his own strength. He wasn't looking for a fight, he was looking to hurt him. And I don't think he's sorry that he hurt him, he's just sorry that he hurt him to the extent that he did, which isn't good enough for me.

The NHL punished him the way they should have, but based on the history of things like this going on in the league, it's obvious they don't have much control over such behavior in general. Look at Marty McSorley, Claude Lemieux, to name a few. So to see the law (particularly Canadian law!) to get involved I think may send a good message to the NHL and to the North American hockey scene as a whole. Hopefully the World Hockey Association can set a better example when they start playing next fall.

And look at Moore: his life has changed forever because of this. Not because he took a slapshot in the face, or even took a clean body check that hurt him real bad. Those happen, and they're accidents that are a part of the game. His injury is a result of something that Bertuzzi INTENTIONALLY did.

If Moore didn't wanna get smushed by Bertuzzi, he shouldn't have hit Naslund.

I somewhat have to agree with MaddMaxx, the law should stay out of sports. Does a boxer get charged with assault after every match? are there cops waiting to arrest 2 people for fighting in any sport? What happens on the ice needs to stay there.

But I also think Maddmaxx's "moore deserved it for hitting naslund" attitude is completely stupid. If Naslund wasn't a pussy he woulda stuck up for himself and there is no excuse for bertuzzi being that stupid.....i can see hitting him a few times.....but not slamming his face into the ice.

The reason Todd hit that guy was because he hit Markus Naslund (The head player of the Vancouver Canucks); put him out for THREE games, and was not even penalized! It's simple hockey justice

With this logic.....Moore took Naslund out for 3 games........Bertuzzi broke Moores neck, he may never play hockey again. when does 3 games = a career? Hockey justice would be Bertuzzi not playing ever again. Which would kind of suck. What you need to do MaddMaxx...is pretend this happened to another team and different players....ones that you aren't fan's of. What would your opinion be of it then?

I wouldn't give a fuck, I don't really watch many other teams (flames, sometimes), except Canucks and Team Canada.
