Since starting to use my new system, I am unable to join 2 or more bolo games simultaneously. I get an 'error binding UDP select' (sic) or something like that. What's up with that?
Jun 26, 2004 23:55
why would you join 2 or more games simultaneously anyways? ........

Heh, well occasionally I'm in an open and get asked to join a strict, but as you know, sometimes people fight and bitch about teams and everyone quits or one retard is 'AFK' for 10 minutes etc. It's better to maintain my nice n00bish open game base while I wait and see if the strict is gonna be a go or no-go, than to quit and rejoin the open.

Make sure the UDP port for your computer is set to 0. (or both copies are set to different ports) If it is set to a number the first copy will bind to it, then the second will be unable to bind to it because it is in use. If you set it to 0, the computer will choose a UDP port that is not in use and use that.

Where would I go to change this setting? Would it be somewhere in xp's administrative tools/computer management?
