Thunderdome open game server

Jun 29, 2004 22:02 Thunderdome open game server
I decided to give WonkaSpawn a try and now have it configured and running to serve up open games with my Thunderdome map collection. The games are configured to end/respawn after all bases are owned by one player/team, just like the other open games servers.

Cheers,

I like the thunderdomes, but what about some other open game maps as well?

Well....nothing personal....but it would no longer be a Thunderdome server, would it? (See title of this post)

Since it is my hardware/server/bandwidth resources, I think I'll stick to serving up just my Thunderdome maps, if you don't mind. Maybe sheeps or ren will put your maps into the rotation on their servers.

...or you could feel free to get Wonka's game spawner package and fire up your own "Nova's maps" game server using your resources.

The only thunderdome map I've played on is "X-man's thunderdome." How many different maps are there?

I think the answer could be found here: https://www.winbolo.net/mapcollection/317

Okay, no problem. Couldn't hurt to ask, could it?

...and actually, sheeps auto-spawns mine and Acro's maps as opens frequently. I've got dial-up, so having my own server would be kinda sucky.

I've also noticed that your games don't show up on the WinBolo tracker. Is it just me who has this problem?

Well, if it you want to play on his server and the games dont show up on the tracker, you can always try using the active games page

BTW, I question wether wonkaspawn has any compatibility problems with his computer/network card...

Nice job x-man. The more servers the better, and the thunderdome's are a good set of open maps.

I already knew about the active games page, actually, but thanks anyway.

Why are the TD games terminating? I played several and they dropped at different times.

wonka's spawner has a 2 hour time limit default setup, so it might be that.
