Too much talk about skins?

Addbot is claming everyone is sick and tired of me talking about skins. He won't mention names, but said there was a convo on #winbolo with a bunch of people saying they are so sick of me talking about skins. I try to be sensitive to the wishes of the community, so I want to find out - is this true or is it addbot exaggerating? If it is true, I will stop talking about skins, so please be upfront and honest. I can't read ppl's mind and I can't see when ppl are talking about me behind my back.

Another thing, addbot told me a few weeks ago he deleted his skin because he spent too much time on it and wanted to show his wife he was willing to sacrifice the skin. Then today he tells me he had lied to me and the real reason he "deleted" (which he now claims he didn't) is because I supposedly was "harassing" him about it. And that he told everyone the truth but me.

So since he admits he lies to me, I don't know whether to believe him or not, and since he won't tell me who "everyone" was who was bitching about my talking about skins, I thought I'd bring it out here and let you guys respond and give you a chance to tell me.

I will stop talking about skins if most ppl are tired of it.

No fi tell those bitches to fuck off, I like that your talking and making skins, its like telling ppl to stop making maps, so please don't stop. The only person I know of that hates skins is mm and we don't want him to win now do we? If ppl want to stop hearing about skins just ignore any post that deals with skins and stop talking shit. Whats so bad about imporving and making winbolo interesting? Ppl who hate hearing about skins is against winbolo and would rather live back in the 1998.

Thanks for the support about making skins, but well, the complaint isn't against me making skins, or me posting about it. It's me talking about it in #winbolo too much about it, and addbot claims "everyone" was bitching about me, not a "few".

(there'll always be a few who bitch about anything, I agree, so I ignore if it's just a few, but if it's "everyone", or if it's respected (ie non-newbish/mm type) players, then I pay attention)

Each day in irc and winbolo with u I always become intrigued yet astonished at how foolish you act and how much of an ass you make yourself look, theres honesty for fi cause u can take it, u spzz out about shit that was never an atack in the first place, and u jump to conclusions in times of needed rational thots.

Tell them the whole story btw, considering I asked you in pm to leave me out of it and that all I was doing was fishing you a heads up, but since you went against my wishes lest makes sure to display the whole story and not just cream it up for your own benefit.

Acro your comment on keep the skins coming, I totally agree skin making is grand, when yournot harrassed by others to finish it and show them EVERY DAY!!!!, when FI: found out that I was making a skin he blew an 0-ring about it, and ever since had been pm'ing me day in day out that I logged into irc, with comments of such : " HEy what did you finish yet?,... can I see it, aww come on send it to me." MY response was respectful but bold, "FI, I dont show my work half ass done", which is legit, I most certainly dont!!! if this is thot to be a lie ask Min told him the same thing, however unlike FI mins reponse was very repsectful, he just said he understood and would wait, .............

Secondly, there was a talk, I apoligize that I dont logg irc in my pc, seemed to be a waste of space, however the convsersation did take place late night eastern time the ppl that were conversing about this I was very polite in not mentioning there names to fi, cuz it isnt my place to say, and if these ppl wanted fi to know they felt this way they would tell him or at least hint to him like I did when I stated:

interesting I'm an ass,.... yet FI took my comments to heart and wrongly this was a simple hint that maybe he should chill about talking nothing but skin jobber 24-7 around the clock in irc. it just gets rather old and annoying, instead he lashed out at me in pvt msg about how I was rude to him, and such. does it sotp there???? Memory seemd to had failed fi twice because I remmeber asking him why he flipped on mins req for approval before using mins work and fi, says he didint mean to but he was supposed to see his dad and he couldnt get the train tickets and all, I tried to calm him and help him with amtrak tickets, and fi dont try to deny this cause others read this :). you prolly just dont remember,......

well, i can see where both FI and addbot are coming from. Addbot wants his skin done b4 he shows it off, fi wants to see it now. fi bugs him a little, addbot gives him a GREAT story, fi finds out it's fake, the two are enemies. good deal for both of you. kiss and make up.

My suggestions:
.......FI) if people seem irritated, stop it. skins are good, keep making them, but don't just talk about skins. You don't always, of course, but lighten it up.

Addbot) there is a feature that allows you to ignore ppl on mIRC, isn't there? try it once, it works great

I for one have not seen you talking too much about skins, I hear a lot of crap from a lot of people, at least you are trying to move the community forward, and I'm all for that. I wouldn't be surprised if you are asking people daily about skins, you were heads deep in reviewing beta copies and getting excited... I sure as hell hope you were talking daily to people. I would expect that from a contest organizer.

If people can't handle winbolo talk, a chat is not the place to visit, nor is a contest something to enter. And for the record, I was bugging Add every time I saw him also, we had high expectations for some good quality material, since few of us have graphic experience.

Perhaps its best to have someone like sheeps handle moving the community forward at least sheeps can keep his head on stratight and has a more rational state of where his priorities stand, besides sheeps is someone u can tell the direct truth too and he wont get p.o'd, found that out few days ago,... sheeps you know what I'm talking about I think!!!

Your two “comments” were not nice, nor did they try to be nice. In my opinion you were being an “ass”. If you want something, you’d best tell the person what you want and in some detail, not just drop a hint which could be interpreted in many ways.
