Work Computer!!

Help!


I turn on my computer at work and log on, the desktop comes up but there aren't any icons and there's no bars of an kind. No Activity. What's going on and how do I fix it?

Nice try to lighten the mood, but it just really pissed me off...

what operating system is it?
try pressing ctrl-alt-delete and checking if there is a process called 'explorer' running. if there isn't, the only thing i can think of is that someone/something tampered with your systems boot proccess, and u should try booting with a floppy.

Good ol' 200GB external HD's...


Also I knew about the Explorer.exe file problem and tried to repair it through the repair thing by booting from the XP disk. It said that my system restore points weren't good or something.
