you mean fucking? I know I won't do that, well I hope! Lol, well the only trouble I usually get into is installing windows, but it should be different this time, the problems that caused windows to fuck up so many times on other systems was the hardware. Mainly the hdd, lets go over how many times I tried on two drives. (both are fucked over) A samsung 4gig hdd: 5 windows, all crashed; a seagate 6gig: 6 times, 1 lasted about 3days stable then the the hdd died >_< But those were only those two drives. But I also had my share of success, three times (due to viruses and fatal crashes) on my moms computer, win98 on a 120mhz pentium one, 32mb ram 5x cdrom drive. Took two hours to install lol!
i've been able to install win98 several times flawlessly. once though, i put in the wrong CD key, it accepted it, but no drivers were accepted. it was f/u. i tried XP once, it works ok, but it's a little quirky. the only suggestion i have for u is to double check everything, wait a couple of days b4 installing any other programs, like games. maybe do a checkdisk and defrag b4. should stabalize the system. sound right to any of you computer gurus in here?

I think you got screwed on your trade, alot of those 1.33 tbirds were awsome lil overclockers. I don't know the specs on the 1.33 machine but that doesn't seem like much of an upgrade. I guess to each there own, I understand why you think consoles are better then pc's now though.
I don't think consoles are better then pc's, but I can't afford a high end rig so I stick with my inexpensive xbox, but the 1.33ghz was a good trade for it's uses, the celeron will be better for my needs. The reason why is that I'm not into demanding games, (only play the sims2 and winbolo), I'll be using it for surfing the internet(intel's are good at multi tasking) and just listening to music. (my speakers are way more powerful then 150watt stereo, computer speakers will be 400watt). And I wasn't planning on overclocking the thunderbird, due to only air cooling and the motherboard I was using was from 2000 and was locked from overclocking. So I decided to part with my used old motherboard and traded my thunderbird so I got the celeron. Also the celeron is a good overclocker too, someone was saying he got to over 3.1ghz on it. About installing windows, I know how to install windows it was hardware problems, not the os problems, but thnx for the tips anyways.
Its a major upgrade, heres my old specs
