Elvis, Sire

Elvis,
If you have the time, I would like to play you 1x1. The time and date would be based on your convenience.

What do you say?

Elvis is not a "Sire", nor a "Sir". Australia, like Canada, prohibits it's citizens from recieving British titular honours (this is bullshit!). In Canada, we have an eighty year old letter to His Majesty the King George of Canada that asks him not to bestow any Canadian with a titular honour (it's called the "Nickle Resolution", I don't know what the Australian equivalent is). It was enacted a few years ago in 2002 when prime minister Jean Chrétien told the newspaper tycoon Conrad Black that he could not become a member of the British house of lords (he did, but he had to renounce his Canadian citizenship, he also tried to sue Chrétien for prohibiting him). I intend to create a political party in Canada to abolish this "Resolution" (And the Indian Act, which makes it so injin's don't pay taxes, which REEEELY pisses me off, coz i have to pay taxes).

Elvis' nickname was 'the king" or rock and roll silly. Or maybe you knew that. And canada has the queen too, she just doesn't really have any power over us.
Dec 29, 2004 05:45
Well, someone (Q-man) is obviously a fucking tard when it comes to his constitutional knowledge. The Crown has COMPLETE power/control/dominion over it's subjects, and since our Queen represents/is the Crown, she has complete dominion over us.

Yeah i know that... but lets not get into politics here..... do you ever see the queen in our country, making laws and big decisions and signing contracts and stuff like that? No, she's too busy doing other shit to bother with us.... she just visits for a while and we give her a big escort and mobs of people wanting to get a glimpse of her and blah blah blah.

Eat shit, Q-man.
