bmp to jpg

Does anyone know of a program that converts bitmap images into jpeg in mass amounts? Like if you select 50 of them, then processes them...paint gets a little ugh after ten or so...

I believe you can do it with Photoshop, if you have it. As I recall, there is a way to record your actions and then use file -> automate -> batch to perform the same action on multiple files.
