My Feature Request is quite simple. The ability to allow thread creators to lock threads they created.
At first I thought this might be abused, but on second thought, I doubt it. It seems that if a thread creator requests their thread lock a mod seems to do it. Why not allow them to lock it themselves?
It would/will be abused. As you have already stated, "It seems that if a thread creator requests their thread lock a mod seems to do it". If someone *really* has a BURNING desire to have their thread locked, they can simply ask a mod to do so, and it will (most likely) be done within at the most a few hours. We already have a system that works, you said so yourself! There is absolutely NO need to change it.

seems like a reasonable request, and it does make logical sense. i doubt anything will be acted on, unless lrl uses his magical powers of influence on someone important, as all my seemingly logical requests have simply gathered dust. but im interested in seeing if anything happens, and if we are in the mood to be updating the forums, perhaps avatars would be nice too
*ps: you can already put images in your message. you can have an "avatar" if you want, by putting the same image in every message, or in your signature. but that is old school lame style. having an actual place for an avatar, on the left or right side underneith that persons name, like pretty much all other forums have, would make everything neater and make forums more interesting.

Yep yep, you're right DZ. We are such power hungry guys that we force everyone to send us naked pictures just to get on IRC! Why, if we were mods on this board, we might even force people to send us naked silly pictures to us in order to post! The horrors!!
As for your "half the vets hate you and LRL" - I'll trust you blindly on that figure because you have such a widely known reputation for being extremely accurate and completely unbias. All I can say is I'm sad that I'm not as widely loved as you are DZ - god knows every newbie and vet loves and respect you so much they even dream of you!
