Why all the leave alliances?
One thing I thought was always understood in the bolo world: You may or may not like someone, but if you ally them... you stick with them.
I've taken a bit of a hiatus in the last couple of weeks, and decided to try and play a few games today. For some reason, everyone is leaving alliances with me when they spot other people who have names they reconize. Frankly, that turns me off 10x more than any losses to mass alliances ever could. If you ally someone STICK WITH THEM. WTF, has everyone lost their sense of fair play? Do the best players always have to ally each other? Where did this perception come from that I can't hold my own? I can beat 80-90% of you hands down.
In each case today when my teammates switched alliances it was just after I had joined them, and they did not get any opportunity to see or not see the skill I have. It was simply that another player who they think is good had joined the game.
Worst of all, this sort of behavior will have a large negative effect on the game itself. There is all kinds of backstabbing behavior now, we don't need to add more craphead behavior into this game. If you were a new player, would you sit through hours and hours of beatings by the best players in an attempt to get better? Likely not. Therefore the game will die.
I must say that when I join an alliance, I usually annouce it. When I need a teammate, I ask "Ally anyone?", and do not request all. I don't ally people unless we really need another due to the odds stacked against us badly. I believe I am a good ally. There are a few who know this and seek out my alliance when I join a game, but like me only offer an alliance when they are outnumbered and outgunned.
Each one you you who reads this post has taken the time to be part of winbolo. Accept your responsiblity and stop being a craphead.
