Hey guys, I needs you all to do me a favor if you don't mind. I'll tell you right now that this is a site for the store that a couple guys and I am starting, this site is just a frame at the moment, no PHP or CSS yet. a. what are the four - eight small squares on the top of a proc to the sides of the core?

b. one beep at boot to signal everything is fine, randomly shuts down while in windows or whilst in a DOS enviroment such as Memtest. doesn't attempt a reboot. I assume power supply problem. Anything to say?

b. Maybe your proc is too hot and he shuts down the comp with no immediate restart (must be cooled before...). Go in Bios to see the temperature of the proc... Check if the fan and the heater are clean or dusty ! Clean them then... :)

A) Not a clue, post a picture, i might be able to figure it out

B) Blow out all your heatsinks... if you have them. if you don't, get some!!.. my video card fan burnt out, that would reboot the system every once in a while.. check all your fans, make sure they all blow good and don't drag at all. If they spin freely and you can feel a good breeze, it's fine. but if not, whatever it's off of is guaranteed to be hot and causing the problem. When computers get hot, they work slower and slower until they reboot... at least mine did. put a new fan in, it'll be better. And it'll be good until your main hdd read arms fall off! grrrrr... hate western digital!
