The time Acro's LGM did the matrix. I am not kidding.
It was a 2x2, on some Sluggo map. It was a really big map, and our defenses had just been penetrated. I don't remember who my ally was or who Acro's ally was, but anyway...
Acro was spiking like mad and advancing as fast as he could before we got a chance to counter-attack his sneakiness. I had to do something, all our bases were nearly covered. Acro sent out his LGM for one last spike. I saw it coming. Slowly, I drew back my gunsite, and a steady stream of bullets appeared. My aim was lined up perfectly, my tank's swoop is timed and angled exactly to snatch the pill that the dying LGM would drop when I made mince-meat out of it's rear. The moment was tense, the time was near, VICTORY WAS MINE!
But no, just as the poor little GM is about to face it's imminent doom, something happens. Yes, something amazing, a miracle even. Something called LAG.
The LGM drew nearer and nearer, ready to meet its fate: my gunsite. It could feel the nuclear heat of my bullets... then... the game lagged... yeah, just like that my tank stops moving. And in slow-motion, as I watch helplessly, the LGM creeps right beneath my immobile gunsite, and plants it's pillbox of death. I replay it in my mind over and over, but I know there is nothing I could have done. As all tanks and bullets stood still, frozen in a chaotic state, that turd of an LGM creeps right by me in slow-mo. Matrix style. And I knew then, that I was royally screwed. The game was over. The pillbox was planted, and my last shred of hope for life was crumpled.
All because of lag. And the matrix. The end.
My most memorable ingame moment, though not particularly interesting, was the first time I planted a pill 'on the run' using the one-hand key setup that I'd been struggling to learn all that week. That pill killed 2 enemies. :)
I've been playing this game for about 12 years now, so I don't know about most memorable. Still one of my favorites was that one 4x4 with me, FI, UD, and Indy on one team.
FI, I know you know the one I'm talking about. UD, you probably do too.
Oh and then there was that time I had hide Fireice in the basement for three weeks because Interpol had just issued a warrant for his arrest. It was because of that thing with the sailboat. Ah, I do know what you are talking about, CF. (The 4x4 I mean). That was quite a hilarious game. I remember ud was quite pissed off because of how much you guys were jackassing around. Wish logviewer was available, damn I coulda watched some of those games for hours. :D
My two most memorable moments took place about a year to two years ago. Skywalker and I currently hold the longest game record, which was about 3 hours or more, and we didn't even finish :) We both had 8 pills, and fireice was watching, it ended up being a huge standoff, because i had know idea how to play offense or very good defense at the time.
Secondly, one time Spin and some troll were 1x1ing. Naturally, spin was talking a bunch of smack about how he could waste him any day 1x1, so they mapped chew toy 3, Spintega and the troll were in an intense game, and everyone was carrying there pills, the troll told spin he had an lgm bug, and asked spin to unlock, Dz joined as some trolling name and started taking bases, Spintega had a bitchfit and started screaming in the game and yelling out racial slurs. Naturally, I captured spin on a video. I still have the video if anyone wants it.
for me..it was the huge 6vs6 game. *the first one* That was a GOOD fun game.
Since I'm an indecisive bugger, here's a few of my most memorable games.
-Playing on some Sluggo map with a bunch of newbs and gal. Gal said something awesome that took the tension level in the game just a notch.
-Min teaching me random shit while he blasted my tank's shreds into min-shreds with one finger while he used his mind-powers to crumple my puny defenses.
-My 1x1s against Mac. I was so pathetic in those games it was hilarious.
