Welcome aboard. If you haven't already, read the guides on www.lgm.com to help you get started.

Edit: Wait a second, am I the only one not able to get on that site?
Jul 22, 2005 11:12
I can't connect to www.lgm.com too !!! What a horrible thing !!!

What happens to this great site ? :(
Jul 22, 2005 11:50
:!: Only LGM can access lgm.com, silly :!:

Shit.. I can't get in either... fuck.... that means we have no guides for newbs whatsoever... it was up not too long ago.. wtf?
Jul 22, 2005 18:27
All right, in case we need to make a new guide, let's list all the pilltakes we can think of.

Psycho Neighbor is the only one I can think of at the moment. I know there's more but for the life of me I can't remember them.

This is a sort of scetchy bolo pilltake sheet off of ufilas' site. (Mouse over it and click the button that appears in the lower right to enlarge it to actual size.)

A great collection of some practice maps. Some might not be possible, as these were designed for the original game, just do the best you can.

I think one of the few contacts to WinBolo on that site is Canuck, if I'm not mistaken. Let's hope he has some backups or y'all can try using the Way Back Machine.
Jul 26, 2005 02:15
I don't have any backups of lgm.com. Your best bet is the wayback machine.

The mac bolo and win bolo physics models are slightly different. Those pilltakes were taken a long time ago (I was in middle school at the time!) using mac bolo. As a result, those pilltakes aren't quite accurate for winbolo, but it's a good starting point. There are a few that won't work and a few missing.

I rock.

P.S. Canuck, why is the original site gone?

Someone probably got tired of paying hosting for a site for a dead game.

I've been meaning to say this for a long time, but I believe Min's site also had some good guides. I don't know where the link is, or even if it's still up but it had some good shit on it. If you didn't mind the Min-ness, of course.

And I definitely dig the high-res version of the q-man base pic. If this was my and only my computer I'd put it on the desktop.

The original site is not gone, it still is up here: http://bishop.mc.duke.edu/bolo/ where it's been for the past 10 years.

lgm.com/bolo was a redirection to the above site.

Don't tell CF, I don't want him deprived of his fantasies.

Its no longer up, I had a falling out with the owner of the webhost, and my webspace was deleted about 5 months ago or so. I didn't think there was actually any interest in it. So I didn't bother putting it back up anyplace.

And before that it was deckard.mc.duke.edu, and before that it was University of California something or other.

lgm.com was (is) owned by berserkir of ambrosia shareware.

And the only thing that would deprive me of my fantasies would be if trannysex.com went offline, but with all the money FI's poured into them over the years, that will never happen.
