Winbolo for Mac

Feb 24, 2003 02:14 Winbolo for Mac
Kinda completing the circle, but how about a Mac version of Winbolo so those folks can join in the fun? There are potentially more players through Windows for the game, but some of the most experienced and long-time Bolo fans are in the Macintosh community. Getting some of these old-fogeys(such as myself) playing the Winbolo versions w/o having to switch their beloved platform will help to improve the community of Winbolo immenseley.

Boloing from 1992 onward...

Yeah, and while we're at it, let's make a PDA/smartphone version too, so I can play it while I'm taking a dump. Hmm... maybe I could buy a wi-fi laptop.

Elvis said he got linbolods to compile on OSX so hopefully we can look forward to an OSX client in the future.

You could make a version for PDA. Not a bad idea, actually. Oh yeah... don't be an ass, eh?
Feb 27, 2003 03:16 Sorry Geius, I cannot honor your request
Ask anyone and they'll tell ya-- stimpy's an ass. Who am I to argue otherwise? Live with me or die at the hands of my turret! Yeah, that's right, my turret has hands, okay!?!?

On a side note, hey Elvis, can you get some more emoticons that aren't smiling? There's fifty ways to show I'm happy and like 3 for when I'm feeling pissy. Asses like me thrive on anger!  :x

Well Bonfire just incase you are new to forums.....its stupid and noobish to bring up ancient posts like this, its better to just start a new one and not look so retarded. Anyways don't expect os X bolo anytime soon. You will have a better chance of installing windows on your mac. Speaking of windows.......put your mac beside your door to hold it open and go buy yourself an hp or something.

Now I remember what differentiates the Macintosh community from the PC community. Bolo used to be a fun game with a great and friendly following. So far all I've seen with this PC version is a new reason for people to insult each other

Well Doug, I agree. I played macbolo (so I guess I could be considered a vet) for a month at camp and then tried to get it onto PC for about three years. Now that I have it I'm slightly disappointed because of the attitude. I went on a quest to find bolo was because I remember how fun it was and how supportive the players were.

well olepigeon, you buy Elvis that mac with os X fly to .au and help him convert it and I will support Xbolo. For now, it seems to be distant if not impossible.

What exactly is "xbolo",

May get confusing, but XBolo is a Macintosh port of the Windows version of the classic Macintosh game which was created on the BBC Micro.
