Thanks for the time and money you both spent on the gameservers; while asking nothing in return.

I don't care that the bots are gone, but time and energy? having your computer run an exe does not require either, think of a better excuse.

Can you say "reboot"? There are always plenty of idiots who start sitting on the same base as their enemy and fuck up the server. You also have to check hard-drives, (don't know if they do it on small wb servers, but they do on the major ones), update maps, ban people who misbehave, turn it off during storms (if you care bout your comp) and protect servers against viruses and worms and all that shit. So much for no time and energy.

Actually... Dan, wouldn't people do that anyway? Acro uses his only computer for a winbolo server. Let 'er run... just put a shortcut for the WBB mIRC file in the startup menu and there's no worries.

Maybe he means the energy the computer uses. Did you ever think about that, Mr. Jocky?

haha you don't "have" to do any of those things DAN, except the virus and worms one since none of these were running on linux machines. and do you think they turn off winbolo.net's server whenever dallas texas has a storm? or reboot it because they.......feel like it?

Well they have advance UPS systems and spike protection unlike average user so they can run 24/7 and be safe.
