Single player vs Bolo Bots.

Is there a way that i can play a non-network/lan game with bot's. Everytime i start a lan game with myself and load up Bolo again to have a bot join, i get droped to single player mode in 5 to 10 mins.

I'm looking for a way to play single player mode against bots. Any info would be great.

Yes you can. Just ignore the first copy of WinBolo, name the tank Server, and drive it off into the deep sea, where it's safe from the bots. After you do that, then open up your other copies of WinBolo, using one for your personal tank. The crashing seems to happen when the hosting tank dies. Possibly a bug. But this works.



1 Winbolo - Server (safe in deep sea)
1 Winbolo - Player
X WinBolo - Bots

I did what Jason#8 said, I hid the host tank and drove it off into the deep sea. I loaded up bolo 4 more times, 1 for me, 3 for the bots. Im happy to say that i got my ass handed to me. I really underestimated 3 allied "Ryan2" bots :oops:

Questions:

1) Whats a Borg?
2) How do i create a dedicated server for winbolo.

Kinda reminds me of CF's life. He gets things handed to him all the time; such as pink slips, restraining orders, warrants, overdue notices, etc.

There's two kinds of plugins. One is a bot, the other is a borg. The biggest difference is that a bot is completely autonomous while a borg is just an add-on to (hopefully) help the player out in a game.

An example of a bot/brain would be Ryan2 (or whatever release it's at now) while a borg would be something like sfinktah or MinBorg.
