Can someone get rid of message link?

When u go into the forms section or are posting forms, at the top-right corner of the screen u see a small menu. In this menu there is a link that says "You have no new messages" even though private messaging has been disabled on this board. Can Elvis or someone please get rid of this link if it is possible??
