I'm releasing an updated version of the new message borg in fisux and need this post link for the documentation.

More later.

Is 'widget' a technical term? :)

I could have sworn your post originally said "this afternoon" and not "tommorow". :D

Yes, actually it is. Google it if you like.

It looks sexy. Too bad your winbolo skin doesn't.

Where is the "Insult FI" button? Having one of those would save me like 10 minutes a game.

Rewriting the borg from scratch - the current source is just too buggy.

I've been watching some of the new Windows Vista videos and got an interest in cool GUI stuff.. I'm wanting to make the borg feel more like a "widget" that you can see on Yahoo! Widgets or OS X dashboard, and perhaps after than provide an open source frame-work so all future Bolo plugins can look this way..

I've uploaded a basic window example and I need to know how well it runs on various machines. My XP Pro computer does fine but I have alot of add-on stuff that others don't.

If you have the time, please download the example and test how it "animates" on your computer.
You should test the following three things, in order if you could:

1) Open it up (it should "grow" into view)
2) Close it (should implode into itself)
3) Open it once more, and minimize it (goes up, then all the way down the screen)

Takes about thirty seconds to test all that and post a "It works on Windows [version]" post :)

Thanks.

You may need to remove the "http://" prefix to the link.

All the stuff works on WinXP SP2, for about one time

I did that. It "grew" really fast. It imploded really fast.

As for #3 - it was cool to see it go down to the bottom of screen, then goes right to where it lays in the "start" bar. When I opened it again, it next went straight to the "start" bar in a diagnoal fashion instead of going straight down then right to "start" bar. I use XP.

Do I get credit now in the "Thanks to the following Testers" section?

ps. What's the use of a cool annimation trix when the meat behind the GUI doesn't work?

Looks like it works thus far..

Yesterday I figured it too hard to work on a cool gui and code the borg thinking code at once, so now I'm splitting them apart and finishing one before working on the other.

Thanks for testing it out!
