i'm wondering how to report a bannable offense when there are no ops readily available (in this case, LRL was hte only op logged into mirc and he was non-responsive). So that's my 'general' question, and here is my more 'specific' report for lack of a better place to put it.

6 players (Packer, Lucky, Jideep, Tip, Whichacho and myself) were in Beastly Chew Toy, mapped by Packer (aka Badger). Lucky was idle, and 2v3 teams were suggested with Jideep, the best player in the game, slated to be on a 2-team. He said he was also playing poker so wouldn't be gaming fulltime, so it was decided (with Packer's approval) that we would 2v2 and Jideep would watch. Packer even said specifically that Jideep should just watch, but allied him so he could watch in PV.

Midway through the game, Jideep came onto land. I saw this and told him to please leave the game immediately. He didn't respond, and proceeded to wall the bases in my corner where he landed. He then got behind me, killing me and my lgm with pillfire. I repeatedly asked him to leave. When my lgm landed, and I was typing for him to leave (AGAIN) he walled my lgm ... he proceeded to use the bases of the players he had allied to watch with, place pillboxes, etc... He interfered with a 2v2 strict passworded game and did not leave when asked to, repeatedtly.

His only typed responses were that he wasn't around at the start and that Packer had told him he could play, which Packer had NOT done.

I suggest sending the details and a link to the log if applicable to LRL via a pm. From my understanding he has a script that alerts him to things like this so I assume he'll take care of it.

I've been trying to get Jhood banned for years. There's never an op around when you need one.

As with any other task to which CF devotes effort, failure and ridicule are inevitable.

In this particular case, the 4 players that decided to play 2x2, shoulda have: quit, killed the map and started a new one (Perhaps even passworded to avoid jideeps return). Even though it seemed there was organization and agreements that you all thought were in tack from start, you were playing with fire having: one idler, and one player saying they would only watch. Is it right for Jideep to do what he did, absolutely not. However, packer isn’t always speaking the truth, nor being very honest all the time either. Packer may have told jideep he could play and it was something you had not witnessed and packer denies to you to save his own hide.

By starting a new one, u woulda been able to rid of the idler and if jideep joined that map you would have more then enough facts to exhibit that jideep was lying and being deceiving when he said he wasn’t present at the start when the agreements were made. I think what hits at home, to me, is him saying he was playing poker, and wouldn’t be able to give 100% to game. Right away I would have asked him to leave, and if he ignored me and didn't I would quit the game and map a new one.

As far as banning someone for this, there are a lot of gray areas to dance around, did jideep get informed from packer, without you knowing it, that jideep could play. And did jideep truthfully acknowledge every agreement, or was he idling at the time in a poker hand. You being a man of desirable facts and proof can realize without blatant proof that he disrupted the game and disobeyed agreements, banning him seems far fetched. Whether or not you told him to leave and restated what the agreements were when he jumped map and began playing is arbitrary because if packer gave him the impression he could play, and packer was the map maker, truthfully your arguments and aggression towards him are unreliable.

addy: there was no 'aggression' in my post, please re-read it. it's actually almost laughably dead-pan, i'm kind of amazed at how you read such extreme emotionality into it - perhaps you are projecting ;) oh, and btw, there was no grey area: when jideep was still around, at the start, packer said 'jideep you watch' ... jideep responded with 'awwwwwwww,' so he clearly saw the message ... so, umm, so much for that theory :/ next time, try not talking unless you know what you're talking about :) </3

nobody: i'm just reporting a bannable offense - sure, there are players i don't like or do complain about, but jideep has never been one of them. i was frankly shocked when he started interfering with a game

jeez, i didn't mean for this to turn into some big discussion ... i was just posting the facts, from my perpsective, because there were no ops around to deal with the situation. dunno how it got to 'general'
