i have version 1.15 so i open up bolo
then i go to internet
then it brings me to that screen
so i hit refresh hoping to see games and it says
"error finding tracker (dns lookup failure)"
i tried restarting the computer and i tried uninstalling and reinstalling bolo
but it stil doesnt work
at least i still have work and my house to play
just wish my laptop would work so i could have people come over and kick their asses
Everything said above I'm having the same prob! How can we fix this?
You wait for the guy in charge to fix the tracker, or you can use the alternate tracker that I linked to above.
i tried that link and it still didnt work
Did you try clicking the "join" button? I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work, unless you've got a different problem than the one I'm thinking of.
yeah its differnt
theres a problem connecting to tracker so theres no games to join
hey i got the same problem as p108088 or whatever earlier in this post, error finding tracker (DNS lookup failure) wtf? im played bolo on mac's more hours than time i spent in classes in high school and damnit i want winbolo to work! any comments, suggestions would be appreciated, i miss walling ppl in. i have my tracker set to the default winbolo.com/50000 but i heard somewhere i should have it set to winbolo.us or something? plz any input would be appreciated
Click tracker setup, the tracker should be “tracker.winbolo.com” and the port should be “50000”
The link web page nova provided http://winbolo.net/activegames.php tracks all games that participate in WinBolo.net
maybe someone (more websavvy than i) should make a page about this (or maybe there already is one?) but if you're having problems loading a game through the tracker, here are some tips:
(1) try going to winbolo.net and see if you can see/access games that way
(2) if you are a strict-player join mirc to find out the specific address of the game you want so you can use the 'join by address' function
(3) and of course if your winbolo screen goes totally nutz then do this: cntrl-alt-delete and click on the 'processes' tab (NOT the default 'end task' screen) and alphatize your processes - then scrolll down to 'winbolo.exe' and one-by-one 'kill' all the winbolo.exe processes
typically when one thing goes down, there's another way to join a game ... you just have to use whatever ISN'T down. that being said, the Powers That Be keep things running very very well, so if all else fails, check back in a few hours later and chances are someone will have magically fixed it all =D
