Let's Just Settle This

Ok, we'll skip the details of why Brando wasn't banned, and just go to the issue of the critical ban and the facts surrounding it.

No no, we can't "skip" those little "details" because that's what make this situation so unique - you ignored my request for you to read the policy.. Regardless of what I stated in that ban report, wouldn't you have understood that killing games while people are playing them was grounds for removal?

So, to recap, you didn't read policy when an operator brought it up in hopes to save a ban from happening. You need to take those "fuck jhood" goggles off and rewrite that poll when you can see straight.

I want to pick this apart here..

Players forget to lock a passworded strict - another player joins in the middle of a 2v2 teamed game and takes bases, kills lgm, steals and plants pillboxes. A player kills the game, and no one else ingame (they agree it is over) complains about the kill

You need to show us two things before you can use this against me as a personal attack:
1) Those other three players need to post either in IRC or here that they agreed to end the game
2) Where it states in the policy "If everyone agrees that the game has ended, you may kill it. This overrides everything else in the event of a personal attack against jhood".

The person should be immediately banned, without warning or discussion - even though this is the first time they have ever killed a passworded strict.

The only reason I brought this up the night before was because you ended an open before we were done (it was only 3 players anyway and neither joined the next game with you, does that factor in anywhere?) and I thought maybe you didn't understand that games could be played out. I was bitched out because I quit games early, and I still am, because people like to play them out. Call this retroactive as well because you didn't realize it at the time, but yes, I knew there was a good chance you'd kill a game from IRC so I tried to show you the rules.

The person should be warned and/or talked to and/or advised to review Winbolo policy.

We did this before the day before - but please feel free to continue to ignore that very strong fact..

The person should be excused from ban consideration because no players involved (including the maker of the map) request a ban or suggest that killing the game was inappropriate.

I highly doubt anyone asked you to kill it either. Let's add that.

I've raised a lot of issues that you still haven't addressed, and the best you can do is try to catch me up by hoping that I won't remember and/or be able to track down the other players from the game? Case and point, buddy. Anyone who reads the above sequence will clearly see that you're misrepresenting my point. No, I didn't imply that I didn't break policy. And no, It's not ok to kill games just because I argue my point. It is, however, reasonable for me to expect an op to have a good reason for banning me, and to hold an op accountable for proving why they banned me when they ban me.

I don't think anyone complained, and I don't recall saying they did.. I recall stating I doubted anyone asked you to killed it, and yes, oddly enough, nobody has a quote from someone asking you to kill it. Maybe that's because it never happened, I don't know.

It's odd though - you spend all this time, you create all these posts and put so much energy into this, and then tell me outright that you don't need to prove your innocence. I was actually planning to dig the game up, but now I'm just super confused as to just what in the hell you're doing all this for..

I understand you really, really don't like me, and that you don't think I'm able to preside over IRC. That's fine, you have your opinion - it's a little skewed, but you have that. You just can't put my "I told you in the conversation prior to not kill games" with your "you never warned me", and I find that interesting.

A guy who screws up his policy a few times in a row, jumps to ban someone without warning, then corrects himself later and changes his reasoning completely has no right to call me selfish, unaware, OR confused - check your own head. You say I'm banned for one reason, which isn't bannable, then later change your mind about why I was banned.

You say Brando isn't banned, for another reason, which isn't relevant to a ban, then later change your mind about why he wasn't banned.

You are told, in the winbolo policy page (!) to warn people and discuss things with them when they break policy, then you don't do it.

That is three GLARING mistakes in just a single ban incident - one of them I could see as a 'mistake,' but three?

That's pretty clear - now while you've said that a few times, it will really speed things along when you're this clear and to the point in the future.

Yes, that ban report has those reasons. You've stated yourself you changed your mind and now realize what you did warranted a ban. You also sort of stated that you knew why Brando was not banned, and even explained to me a loopwhole. What you've never stated, IIRC, is that you understand at all, why I applied that extraordinary conversation the day prior to you.

I understand that a warning probably would have handled everything, or even that a warning, a talk, then a kick would have too. But, please, at least understand where I am coming from when I say that I considered you warned from our previous conversation.

Let's even turn it around here: if you were an operator, and you saw a new guy end a game, which could lead into killing a game from IRC, and you brought up how I shouldn't end the game because it wasn't fair to you and the other players, and then you show me the policy and apply that to IRC, and I just argued with you about how that was your "opinion" and whatnot. If I came back the next day, and kill a game from IRC, after implying I understood the rules, would you sit me down and gently bring up the rules again, or just kick for a day because you thought I already knew them and broke them inspite of what you said, because I didn't value your opinion? Or what? I'm interested.
