Women of WinBolo

Most of the players of this game are, and have been males, but what about all the chicks out there? Where's the love? Drop the names if you remember them and post any good memories, too. Mac'ers are welcome in this thread as well.

Start things off with weez. One of the many Michiganders who play, or have played. I can't remember when she stopped though, maybe 2 years ago? I remember her and Skywalker were pretty good friends. Yeah, Skywalker, what ever happened to him?

There's Liz, who's been around WinBolo just as long as Min has, although who doesn't quite play as often as they used to. Can't understand why her favorite map is Wild Bleeding Chickens, though.

One more for the road: Dru. She played WinBolo for a few weeks back in August or September of 2004 and was a remarkably good player for as little as she supposedly played. Vanished into the Yukon as quickly as she started. I think she actually met Min and Liz.

anyone know if Athena ever jumped to winbolo? or gal?

Yeah, gal definately played WinBolo. I'm surprised you two didn't cross paths. She usually trolled the spawned stricts/tourneys/opens. Last time I saw her was maybe just after the launch of WBN. Always a courteous player, never disappointing to ally. I heard she left because she had a kid, is that true?

I think athena had a kid or two and left bolo too around 2000 or so...

Siren is a female currently playing the game actively. Last I checked anyways.

Gal played winbolo as Boatmaker a couple years ago, and had gotten quite good.

But... Let's not forget my favorite female bolo player of all time. Lin, who played lots in '93 and '94... She was so good, I married her. She doesn't want to get back into it, as she knows she'll spend too much time on it and it gives her bolo fingers eventually.

Toto from Aero (mostly appletalk, but played outside a little bit).

There were also a few that people thought were girls. I remember seeing guys flirt with Koi-Chan and Tankgrrl.

Athena taught me trix on mac bolo. she used the name storm? or something like that. she was very nice. back in 95

and ya gal was decent, good times with her

anyways she is a nice girl from texas and i havnt seen her on irc as of late.
