New irc bot

Sence i cant figure out what the hell my password for my router is to be able to host a normal bot that can launch games, i have resorted to some more interesting functions that can inhance the #winbolo

the bot that i have made is "LBOT"

it stands for Lobby bot, and right not the only thing that it can do is list people that are online that are currently looking for a game.

To list people that are waiting for a game, type "!list"

You can add yourself to the list by typing "!addme"

And also, you can remove yourself if you go afk by typing "!remove"

also, if you happen to leave the channel, and you didn't remove yourself, lbot automatically removes you on leave :)

i made this because there are so many times when you have a strict going on, and you need one more player. instead of typing "one more" a million times, you can type "!list" and you can find someone who is near there keyboard and wanting to play a game.


I want to add more features to this bot, im open to any suggestions. i would also like it if you guys could try it out and give me some feedback on it. I will try to keep the bot online as long as possible.

p.s. all of the commands i covered when you type "!help"

Two more functions added to Lbot as of February 27th, 2007

1. You can make a comment to lbot by typing " !comment (insert comment here)

2. There is now a user rating function, where you can make your own, or someone else's rate-able file.

Type !rate me to make yourself a rate-able profile, or !rate add (nick) to make someone else a rate-able profile.

To view someone else's profile, type !rate (nick) From there, you view there profile. LBot will give you the command to use to rate the person when you view there profile

All of this is covered when you type !help rate

If you have been added a profile, and you dont like how you are being rated, simply make a !comment, and i will take care of the rest

type !tracker to see games that are posted in tracker tracker.winbolo.us:50000

As far as the router is concerned, I would write down or take screen caps of all your settings (ie, ports already open, DNS settings, etc) and then reset the router. I know that with some of the most common Linksys ones, this will reset your password to something like admin or administrator. From there you can log on and set everything back up.

ya, i know i can do that, but my dad has the passwords to set my the internet with the service provider, and he wont give em to me. The reason why i need those are because last time i reset the router, i needed it to use the internet... and the router didn't even reset

I have added a new function to Lbot!

So, like what jhood had done, i have now set Lbot up so that there is a tracker in it. Every time you type !tracker, Lbot sends you in the channel the current games that are listed in tracker.winbolo.us:50000 (I would like to ask all bot owners to please set there bots to that tracker)
It looks like its in the channel, but its not. Im not sure how it works, because i asked someone from irc to write it for me.

Im still looking for new suggestion and functions to add to lbot.

As of March 11th, Lbot has handed control over to Harlbot. Harlbot is now inriched with WBB, so it can now map games. It works like all of the other bots mapping wise.
