Online porn is prostitution and it differs in no way from all the other sick methods devised during our history to make a buck using women who often have no other way to make money to survive. People who supports themselves in this way must first have to throw any shred of decency, morality, ethics, dignity and all sociocultural standards. So since our judicial system couldn't even hold up the CDA, the sky's the limit on what you can do. Just claim any crackdown on porn violates your 'rights' and your 'free speech' and you'll be A-OK. Since I've also indulged in online porn from time to time I guess I'm right there with you guys (Nemo, Ud, Sticks, and Min) at the bottom of the slimy barrel. But at least I'm not making money using it. At at least I can come forward to say that my participation in it makes me no better than those who do. Can y'all say the same? Remember, the almighty dollar is more important than anything else extant. :roll:

Adult 'empires' (web companies that own a dozen or more adult properties) are typically built to absorb the costs of piracy, so you don't really have the effect you used to have in say, 2004 when the industry started to pull itself together and a conversaion ratio of 1 in 1000 was considered successful. Now I hear it's typically 1:100, which is still pretty low but it pays their $10k a month mortgage.

And if you do that math, 1:100 with a floating base of around 500,000 porn-surfers means you can start a site off with about 5000 paying members, each paying around $30 a month, minus about 10k to 40k a month in overhead and you can see why the buy guys are just now starting to really crack down on piracy.

Anyway to get off of this porn thing (no pun intended) is there anyone interested in what I actually do for a living and wants me to post more about it?
