Hi Bolo- "strictplayers"

I really need a teacher, because I suck in stricts.

I´m able to win the one or other strict game - with a very good ally
but I always suck.

I wanna ask you for some help, if maybe anyone is amused to teach me how to play a good strict, please tell me via IRC or ventrilo

Thanks, Chewtoy

:)

Just like all Yankee women, all you are good at is ordering in restaurants- and spending a man's money!

Just join IRC and keep at it. Myself and other players may discourage you by yelling at you or telling you that you played sucky. But always come back questioning us as to WHY you played sucky.

Reading some of the guides over at LGM can help as well.

I've learned that you won't get better if you play crappy players. Play often as you can with as many people as you can.

Also, staying alive can be a huge advantage in this game. It isn't recommended that you never die as sometimes you just have to, but having a death ratio of +5 compared to your opponent has many advantages.

a good place to find veteran players is on irc. the best way to learn is to play with people who are experienced. i suggest you avoid open games and play just stricts, and mostly small stricts. 1x1, 2x2s. Since you are new you will lose most of your games, but don't worry. The important part is not winning, but learning. Play a 1x1 and observe what your opponent does. Watch their moves, try to emulate them. After you are done, download the log and watch it. Try to figure out what they did that beat you and where. If you have questions, ask. Most players will be happy to explain their tactics. Watching logs of good players playing other good players is a useful thing to do to.

Reading over the guides sticks suggested is definately a good idea as well. Samhain wrote a decent one a long time ago, and it holds good info.

If you have a headset, come onto our ventrilo server. That way your allies can give you live feedback on the game you are in.

Anyways, good luck

One more thing; just like a sport, winbolo takes a good deal of practice and concentration. To be considered a decent player, expect to put at least a month into it. If you are a quick learner, maybe less. Once you are at the level of being able to do the basic things like base running, pill taking, basic knowledge on lgm timing and pill line placement, you will be good enough to play on a team without being a hinderance. From there, you can fine tune certain skills. Becoming excellent at, say lgm killing or sweeping will take a good deal of practice though, don't expect to be awesome at it in like a week.
