Tix Tox Pillbox

We had some incredibly fun games of TTPB last night. We managed to max out the connections for the Ventrilo server and consistently have more than 10 players in each of the five games we played. Gratz to stimpy for winning 3 out of the 5 games last night.

For those of you who have never heard, TTPB is a theme game. There is a timed-delay on the start of the game. Most of the time, there are no teams, so every tank for themselves. All tanks start with a mostly full tank of ammo and armor but no mines or trees. The goal is to have possession of the only pillbox when the 10 minute time limit ends.

Here we see four tanks gunning for Siren who has the pill. Rubble and craters will slow you down as TheRook had time to die, respawn, and drive back out to chase her down.



Here we see seven tanks, with one fireballing north into the wall. If you look closely, you can see the dead pillbox two squares north of me and Spintega. This was taken in the NE corner of the first ring.


We got 9 players out of 13 on this screen, very early on in the game, right outside the spawn pool. I've lost my LGM and am heading back to deepsea to die so I can get more ammo.

We haven't played Bridge on the River Kwai in a long ass time, which is another specialty game theme. It's modeled after the movie of the same name in which the British battle the Japanese over the bridge. The team that starts west (Japanese) start with the bases and pills on the bridge pre-allied to their team. Their objective is to defend the bridge until the attacking British team are all captured in the prison shown below. There is a spawn point inside it and you wall it off so only the Japanese team can get out via the allied base. The other team's objective is to capture all the bases.
