Please could one of the bots add a couple of my maps that look good? it would be much appreciated.

ok.......would one of the bots write a post to me and explain how i would go about maybe, possibly getting some of my maps added ?

Looks like the forums are pretty much dead right now, and the lack of a standard map-uploading mechanism via IRC bots means theres no simple tutorial on how to get your stuff on the servers. However, once you join IRC you could provide a list of the maps you want uploaded to one of the bot maintainers (jason8, min, and looks like ironhelix/jollyroger) to download whenst they have the time.

Yes, I created the word whenst.

On the other hand, I do have limited access to Jason's server, which means I can put maps on there but they won't be accessible on justabot. Simple answer is to just get on IRC and ask Jason or Minnard.

I still read this forum regularly, Adding maps to my bot is pretty low priority.

Last year, Acro uploaded literally hundreds of maps that were shaped like penises. It took us months to find them all and delete them. It's not the first time he's done something like this. He is the reason no one is uploading your maps.

If I still had a bot, I would put the maps on it for you. It doesn't take but one minute or two to add a half dozen.

Riddler man,.. chill out,.. instead of bashing on bot owners, who use there bandwidth and there pc and service to allow you to launch maps on, perhaps it's best to consider a few things:

A.) If it weren't for alot of Min's coding 1.17 wouldn't have even gotten out in the timely and successful fashion that it did. Yes are others to credit as well,.. but dont be so hastey to snip at people to whom deserve credit.

B.) You are obviously not doing something right in regards to pm msg'n the bot owners. I say this because i was able to get a map uploaded to Justabot on the same day I sent a req to Jason8 and justabot itself.

Be patient. and actually as of lately Chew toy 3 is mapped less and less, more maps are being incorporated. And if your sick of playing those maps, I suggest you map another map from the Gigantic map list available, rather then relying on others to choose a map to your likings.

Well, adding your maps to my bot just went from "when I have time" (it does take longer than a minute or two to add them to my bot, I'm not running a mirc bot, I'm paying for a vps which I have to log into, download your maps, move them to the correct folders by commandline, etc) to, never. I won't be adding your maps, simply because you refuse to ask nicely enough for my liking.

Now, I've got about 20 hours of homework I'll be getting back to doing.

Feel free to start a bot and add all his maps to it then acro. Your opinion in this matter is irrelevant.

One thing I'd also like to note, there is over 4000 maps currently available on my bot. At any point you can simply choose something that isn't chew toy 3, or even remotely like chew toy 3. You can play for hours and hours without ever having to load the same map twice. The bolo community certainly doesn't have a shortage of very nice usable maps.

In short, quit your bitching.

ps, riddler's maps were added to my bot about 13 hours ago. Not that anyone will use them more than the once or twice riddler himself fires them up.

MIN.... Although i may have sounded er... 'unappreciative' in previous posts, i do absolutley understand that botowners such as yourself, put alot of time and effort into coding etc for the latest version to which i, and no doubt, alot of others, are extremeley grateful and or appreciative to the upmost.
I would also, respectfully, like to address addbot in this post and say that everything you stated in your reply to my earlier post was duely noted and i value your opinion alot as you talk sense. I wasen't intentionally trying to 'bash' on bot owners i was simply trying to make myself heard. but thankyou all the same for your view on the situation which helped me to see the opposite side of the argument.
