In response to the reply posted, I do, sadly, run on Windows '95 and would like to know where to get Winsock2.
Second, the exact error message when attempting to join a game reads: "Error Creating UDP Socket"
thank you for your quick response :mrgreen:

The link would be found in the System requirements section of the website, readme and user manual.

System Requirements:
* Windows 95/98/NT4(SP5+)/2K
* 8Mb of RAM
* DirectX 3 or greater
* Display capable of 16 bit colours or greater
* Winsock (Windows 95 users need to download this update from Microsoft)

Please in future post a reply to a topic when continuing on the same topic. Post again if you continue to experience problems after installing the update.

I've downloaded the Winsock program but I keep getting this message when I click on it:
"Setup cannot update the MS DUN 1.3 or Winsock 2.0 version of VDHCP.386. If you install either of these updates in the future, you will need to re-install this update."
should I just try it again? :?

Did the installation complete? Does WinBolo now work?

The wording of the message in your post sounds more informational then an error message. "If you install updates XYZ you may need to install this update again."
