im interested in creating a game spawner like minbot/nemobot etc.
where do i start and is it difficult?
you may ask why when there are already several but the simple reason is so us europeans can play a normal game without the resyncs and lag we get due to being so far away from the current servers
any help would be appreciated

Try this http://www.sheeps.winbolo.us/wbb.html
I doubt you would be able to get nemobot/minbot working because it requires a linux server. And you're a computer noob.
I will help you Kaos.
What are the hardware requirements for the Linux server? What about bandwidth? ADSL 2+? Cable? Could Kaos plug the Linux server into his router at home and also do other stuff at the same time?
Kaos do you intend to have this running 24/7 or just when u r playing?
Could he run it as a duel boot off his machine?
i have no idea. 24/7 would be better i guess. ill do what i need to do but i fear im too nooby to figure it out and run it effectively
i must also add that im not totally useless. im cool with the hardware aspect and have built several computers, installed OS's etc. its just things like programming/servers/networking/internet related issues im nooby with :?
if someone could point me in the direction of some relevant instructions i could probably figure it out with the help of google and min/ nemo eventually :D
so ive done some research into creating my own linux server.
if ive read the instruction right i have to download microsoft virtual pc software
then locate and download a linux distribution>
is ubuntu a relevent linux i could use?
Ubuntu is the OS and it should be fine to host win bolo. Min Nemo?
Don't use a linux server unless you know enough about it to not ask for help. Noone has time to walk you through the process of setting up linux and making it work. Just figure out how to use the WBB that nemo suggested, that will get you serving games like you want on windows without anything else. As I mentioned in private message, I don't personally have any experience with wbb so I can't help you set it up, but I'm fairly certain it was easy to do.
Min
k min, i decided against using a linux server as i need to partition a hdd and run it alongside windows. seems a little advanced and complicated for me :D
ill try get wbb working and go from there
