Statistics Regneration

A problem has been corrected with the statistics for captures/kills/steals. See http://www.winbolo.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=110 for more details.

All new statistics will be correctly added. However the existing figures will stay the same. It is possible to regeneration all the statistics to correct the figures. This will lower everyones numbers. I'll leave the poll up for 2 days and if the consensus is to regenerate them then they will change.

I haven't thought about how long the whole system should go between complete resets (so everyone starts on zero again) or if people even what this facility. Perhaps someone could start a topic on that to discuss.

To reply to what Elvis said about scores refreshing and maybe even resetting back to zero for all I say this.

I've not been playing for all that long but I already have some scoring and although I have some losses that I'd rather forget, at least I know they are genuine and it makes the wins I've achieved all the sweeter. There may have been score fixing in the past but I'm willing to live with that as I know, in time my scores will match that of the higher ranked players anyway.

To reset everything would undo the hard work I've already put into WinBolo and I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this way. By all means do what you feel is right Elvis but I enjoy seeing me rise through the score tables almost as much as I enjoy to actually play the matches and I'd feel that the last few months of me playing were for nothing if I was to suddenly have my score reset.

i vote reset....if your good your gunna come back anyway. besides, who wants to win under a false pretence? well....ok a lot of people but i dont.

Note that of the 1472 registered WBN accounts, only 9 have actually answered to this poll. Damn those ppl wit multiple accounts!
