A warm greeting to all of the WinBolo community.
Greetings to you all.
I am somewhat of a newbie to the WinBolo gaming scene. I played Bolo a lot back in the late 90's on Macs and a bit on PCs a few years ago, but not with any real skill. Recently, I've had some nostalgic feelings towards the game and fired up a server and started playing a bit.
I have been told that resources, such as hosting, servers, IPs, etc. are in short supply to this community. I happen to manage a data center in Seattle, WA, USA and have a few spare HP servers I could fire up for use running either Windows or Linux to host games.
Is there anyone among the community who would like to participate in such an effort? Managing the servers, handling the games? Obviously, you don't want a newbie handling *all* the aspects of such an endeavor :)
I figured I'd 'test the waters' and see if there is any interest out there. Best wishes to you all, it's nice to see there is still a bit of a following out there for this old game. Take care, Cheers! :)
