I shall miss winbolo

There's a time and place for everything. Winbolo is a fabulous game with tons of strategy and fast paced action ...all to my liking...I would rate it the 3rd game i have ever plaed and that is darn high considering it's graphics, sounds etc....Yet other things beckon me away from this fun game and i can no longer afford to play as much as i have done in the past 2 months...so yesterday i made the decision to play less bolo...gulp....it was a hard decision no doubt about it...but one i feel i needed to make....however all is not lost...i shall still appear now and then on the weekends and who knows might 1v1 or 2v2 or heck have a ffa with all you guys once more....I would like to thank all of you people on irc for making me feel welcome and bearing with my sometimes erratic playing (stimpy would know all about this) and simply chatting with me and giving me tips and pointers about my game....a lot of it valuable advice that i shall never forget....

and now my special messages to a few that i think i need to mention:

Elvis: I cannot tell you how much this game rocks....i remember playing it back on macs at school with my buddies...and ever since it was banned in my school...i searched and searched for a PC version....my prayers were answered when i stumbled upon your creation...thanks man...you've done a great job and as a result i now have acquired many memories of the game that i shall never forget

killjoy: killjoy...thanks for making me feel home at irc and chatting with me...your kindness and friendship when i needed it most shall not go forgotten

fi: the above applies to you too....thank you also for always being ready to have a game and giving me the much needed advice i needed back when i was a hopeless newb

wuff: wuff, i appreciate your dedication to the game and all the games u spent with me as we battled together or battled each other....u gave me the practice and the situations that were priceless....you will kick veteran ass pretty soon...no doubt about that :)

severian: a big thanks to you sev...its been fun playing you and ill never forget that game that i consider the turning point in my skill (you still won it of course)...it was you that told me i really ought to base run rather than get an early pill plus a ton of other stuff when i was a newb newb. Thanks man...may u retain your crown and your attitude towards beginners (you never even once called me a newb...i shall never forget that)

shotty: thannks for allying me shotty in all thiose 2v2s and giving me the chance to play some heated battles...i have let you down many times and you never complained a lot about it...thanks a lot

unk: the only good player i remember from way back...(along with min) when i played under a different name.....i havent played that much with you now but thanks for yur advice and time on that particular "game" where we pillwared a bit...thank you for the advice ( that you may not remember) when i was T -90...

stimpy: yes stimpy...i hated it when you let me have it after i killed your lgm (as in your words "went out of my way and killed it")...i shall never forget that incident and the valuable lesson i learnt...though you do have a shorter fuse than many of the other vets....i appreciate your encouragement recently and i now see the other side of you....thanks a lot dude....

blue: ur cool man...and i have seen you get better and better...keep it up man....fun playing you

ren: the same to you tho u made me think you were much better than you are when i first met you :)...fun playing you and i look forward to finishing that 1v1 we never quite finished

skeet: would i ever forget you my friend!...you will no doubt improve as you play more....tho we may disagree on drugs....i think yuo are still a great guy and real funny in some games :)

LRL: thanks for playing me and racing me....yep i loved the way u steal boats when u aint got trees to build one...it cracks me up when i remember that moment :)...nice playing you

well thats all i have time for now...its been nice knowing everyone of you... i shall return one day...just look out for me and tell me you remember the scream of hell when i do show up....its been an emotional few days as i have grown really fond of bolo...it was the only computer game i was playing till now but i have to say goodbye...good things never last.... :( bye to all of you and "good game"...

hey hey hey hey hey........... you havent't died; nor have you quit bolo yet.
I think a reduction in playin time may b a good thing. now you can get some sleep instead of constantly staring at a screen. I think more players should try it. As for trying new games.... who knows, myabe your experiences in new games will lead to strategy developments and such. I respect and support your decision.

Killing your team mates builder is sometimes an essential tactical ploy.
Last week, I killed Pawn's builder 7 times in one game. Pawn was not
amused but he has a limited vision when it comes to seeing the BIG picture sometimes. Killing your own sides builders can have a devestating effect on the oposition but it may only last a few moments before they recover or go to the bathroom or clean their keyboards. Once in a game, I had to kill my own builder 3 times (once out of anger I admit).
Sadly, I am not very good at killing incoming spiking builders but I blame
that on the war wounds and old age.
