Heres an idea. When players create games, they can put a max ping requirement for all the players who join, so then lag will be cut down, and peopel can rule out lag when people are moving really weird. (this will only help detect them, but not stop them). Also you can change the Bolo protocol (i dont know much about this) so that hacks are not able to work with it, like making the protocol more intricate for higher bandwidth users (im assuming hacks work by intercepting the udp packets from the server to the user or somehting like that). What if it was TCP instead? (I have no idea what im talking about). But what i kow is that udp packets can get lost easily, while using TCP doesnt do that. Something liek that. WHatver...

Wonka, if you did record the video, I would like to see it. I would like to see how fast I was actually going.
As for Bluesnake, he was the one who gave me the hack, from which he got from Sak.
All it does it speed up the game a little bit, but it still takes the same amount of time to do everything. Only thing I found with it, you can move extremly fast.
For one tho, this isnt a hack, its a sort of overclocker-type program. It just speeds up your computer a bit, and it shouldnt be considered a hack.
If you really feel so strongly about this, Id consider blocking the users from which you know use the hack off of your server. I could name names, but theyd all deny it. (Guess Im the only one with balls here).
One last thing, isnt it "Anything goes in Open Games?"

Hmmm, this "Max ping" idea sounds interesting..... Could be a neat feature to implement into WinBolo or a WinBolo game creator.

That's the whole reason we have new versions. And the only one that can change the way winbolo works is the author John Morrison (Elvis). Right now the reason why players are able to hack is because certain variables are stored client-side, not server side. As far as how to safeguard the game from external programs changing/freezing memory addresses, you'd have to discuss the technical terms with Elvis, as I'm not that smart.. yet.

hmmmm...i downloaded and installed it, then i clicked on it......to use it........then it wanted me to install it agian......weird...i restarted my comp but it still wouldn't work.... :cry:

So am I! Thanks to whoever persueded Elvis into having sooo many mods :evil: . We don't need any fucking mods!!!!!! Oops, I just swore. I think that means that some faggit moderator is gonna delete this post. Good thing that I now keep copies of all my posts. (I don't want to, but its a safety percaution against those fucking mods )
