A new channel has been made, #blue..
You can find this channel on the .us server in irc.winbolo.us
renb = renbot who will auto op or voice the ops and bluebot well be the yip yapper of the channel! Join the hip new channel..

renb will be upgraded by tomorrow.

so .. why wouldn't everyone just stay in #winbolo? ... what would the advantage be of this "new hip channel" ..... I doubt you can come up with any good reason for that channel to exsist .. but I welcome you to try.

Min I'm glad to see that you really dont know anything. Im 14 not twelve you dumbass. Just Clearing that up for Minhiriath and everyone else who uses mIRC or IRC. So what if he doesn't know your age is he supposed to keep tabs on all the newbie’s? Besides, when someone acts like a 12 year old it's not hard to think that that person may perhaps be 12 and 2 years really doesn't make all that much a difference in maturity level at that age.

When did he tell you that you couldn't have fun? Grow up Ren. Have your channel, play with your scripts, but we have all seen the upstart channels come and go, and I think that’s all he was trying to say. You needn't be an ass about it. When you get defensive over every little word min says it makes you look kind of foolish. If you don't like what he says let it slide, like water off a ducks back, or you will just show your immaturity, which cannot be avoided since you are still a child, so don't take it as an insult.

I'm going to dare to put my thoughts to this topic. I haven't done this yet because for one I'm still developing some opinions.. But this much I'm pretty sure have formed:

I would encourage people to start their own channels. If #winbolo isn't doing it for you, then by all means, start your own.

If someone like Ren is unsatisfied with #winbolo, starting a new channel is reasonable. At least they're taking initiative and doing something rather than only complaining. I cannot find it in myself to be angry with (or ridicule) someone if they're not satisfied with what's currently provided and are trying to make a better alternative.

The best that can happen is #blue will attract new people to winbolo and provide maybe something more than the current channels. The worst, and some may disagree with me on here, is that it will fade away.

Lastly, if the .us people decide that there are too many #blue advertisements then it's well within their bounds to decide to stop them, in my humble opinion.. it's their server and channel after all.

:idea: I have to say the thing that I like most about bolo isn't the game, it's our sense of community. A communtiy should support the endeavors of its individuals. Should a community fail to do so, it will crumble and fall. We must remain a strong wall and not weaken or pick at the singular bricks. I support blue in his decision. It is quite possible that it could help having more than one channel. For one example, those who are banned from one can defend, justify, and seek justice for themselves in another channel. I think that those who oppose this new channel simply need not use it. 8)

im with canuck here. if ppl want there own channel, they can have there own channel. nothing wrong with that. (its not hurting no one is it?) so i dont see why this is such a big deal. unless of course, you just hate to see ppl have some fun.......cuz there evil (im not pointing fingers at u min)
so there. let ppl make a new channel...its legal, isnt it?

I disagree with the attracting new people part ... since all the same people in "#blue" will also be in winbolo, but whatever. I've already stated my opinions on this, and probably won't post again in this thread.

i have no problem with ppl running their own channel in a stupid manner wit goddam auto-welcome scripts. But i do have a problem with ppl like blue and Matt007 saying things like "type /join #Matt007" 20 times in 1 channel.

winbolo is special to me...
sometimes late at night i open two games on my computer and i take one tank and fuck the other tank, then i sit there and wack off to it.... ahhhhhh it feels so good..... :shock:
