Sort of overdue, but yes, All Hail Elvis.
I remember playing Bolo back in middle school, and searched a long while for a PC version. This game brings back many memories, most of which involve me being stuffed into a locker and my computer disks taken.
My dead brain cells aside, thank you JM for taking the time and effort to recreate a game in which so many have enjoyed.
Now if I only had money to pay the fee....

Well, he developed this game on his own, meaning, he was not paid for his time by some developement company. Therefore, he probably wishes to be compensated for his time by implementing a fee of $25 US. These funds also act as an indicator if people wish to see the game further improved: "However, if YOU are a regular WinBolo player, and you wish to see WinBolo continue to be improved, then please pay your shareware fee."

While I don't view this as "expensive" other younger players might. But as the readme states: "If you can't afford anything at all then obviously I'd rather you played WinBolo than not, so send me a post card instead." Kind of like saying, send me what you -can- afford, which most players don't do at all. I'd personally like to know how many clients of WinBolo have been paid for.

What do you mean fee when i regisered i didn't have to pay a fee

The fee does not concern winbolo.net registration, although donations are now being accepted. The fee is for the 'shareware'; your fee for copying and using the winbolo software.
