Whenever you pick a number (lets say 58), you then add 5 and 8 together which makes 13. Subtract 13 from 58 and you get 45. Now do this with a few more double digit numbers and take a look at the final answers. Do you see a pattern?
As for why the symbol isn't the same everytime? The symbols are shuffled everytime and because there's so many different kinds of them, its hard to keep track.
