Do you think UD's moderator status should have been removed?

I think it is extremely inappropriate to even suggest locking of this thread.

I may be wrong here, but I think that Min's post was to show how easy it was to get to a WEB page. And by having the passwords on a WEB page, why even bother having them.

The part that bothers me the most about all this, is the level this has sunk. You got lots of people saying F this, F that, and F you.

Wonka, the password page was intended to be like the Mac-bolo potd pages. A netiquette talking about what is allowed in the passworded games and at the end the password. I understand what min’s post was meant to show. I understand how a proxy works and cache. That was known and discussed at the time of creation. I won’t remove the page, it will be moved to another URL in time and a netiquette added before it.

The F word is used far too much anymore, but if my single use offended you or anyone else I apologize

I bet if someone other then LRL started this thread he would be jumping up and down getting it locked, before it turns into a flame war or something but he started it, and what he does is perfect so it cannot be locked. Of course locking is in the ToS crap.....so it could be justified

But then again LRL you think everything Min does, says, writes, or suggests is inappropriate because you don't like him, so for once why don't you try un-clouding you bias vision and see the light. Locking the thread would help prevent another 4 page flame war, what is so wrong with that?

this topic is locked, any further discussion on this particular subject can be redirected to the thread below. so that all information regarding post deletion, etc can be put in one thread instead of being spread all over the place. This thread has served its purpose. now lets discuss how to improve this situation with changes to the moderation policies.
