I got the Speed hack

I got the SPEED HACK from *** *** I am going to delete it now because I want to play fair and I am getting threatened that I will de band.

i think matt and maxx are the same person.

This is kinda like:

'I got 20 pounds of cocaine but I'm gonna tell the cops I have it.
That way I won't get in trouble.'

this is really pissing me off, but since no initiative is being taken to change modding guide, i am very tempted to post instructions and weblink to memory hack, to have infinite ammo and not take damage in the near future, and perhaps an irc spoofing guide, irc exploit guide, and other neat toys.

well, I think elvis will be unavaible for awhile due to work. so if your going to post this. do it in 1-2 weeks that way he's around to deal with it/the mod policy.

MATTT!!!! No one gives a flying fuck if you have the speed hack or not. They only care if you actually USE it to cheat. Btw every1, earlier today, Matt007 ask'd me if he wanted to play me at a game of SPEED BOLO

1) Maddmaxx and Matt007 are indeed two different persons - I've seen both of them on irc at the same time and they always have completely different styles of behaving.

2) Personally, I feel there is no harm saying that one has a hack, hell, I might have the speed hack somewhere in my files but that is not going to do anybody any good and I haven't used it since I got it to observer its effects. Alternatively, in real life, I have a few guns, but just having them is not posing a threat to anyone unless I say I'm going to use them. (and that is how Matt posted: he said something like "I have guns but I'm getting rid of them")

I feel it's good to encourage people to talk about what they have and how they play the game - now we know more about Matt007.

Now, Posting specific instructions on how to use a hack to your advantage now would be pretty tasteless and smack of trying to bring the game down (though I still advocate NOT deleting that post myself) Although, on the contrary, information after all is power, and the more we users know about how others may use hacks, the better we can detect when they do use those hacks, and pass the word to the gameservers to ban those individual users.

And guys, look, we had a totally unmoderated forum for bolo for over a decade - anybody could and would post information on how to beat the game. Did that ever bring the game down, even when it stayed the exact same version for many years? Not a chance.

So, please, let's not be so quick to call for deletion of posts just because the subject of the post is controversial - look at how many more people participate in the winbolo community forum and in winbolo in general since the deletion of posts have ended. Let's not try to slowly go back to the middle age dark days where poor and helpless posts and threads were deleted.

the people who played mac bolo were much more mature, first of all. and they had more respect for eachother. also, there was no speed hack for mac bolo as far as i know

True, there was no speed hacks, but there was plenty of other hacks available such as invincible, unlimited amo, etc.
