you should research what "drugs" do exactly before you start quoting what is "scientifically proven"
each illcit substance has a different active chemical than others, and your body reacts differently.
for example, ecstacy is the sensation caused by a chemical in your brain being released that causes the feeling of happiness, or "ecstacy". it depletes the brain of some substance, i dont remember exactly what it was. this substance however does come back over a period of time.
some drugs are physically addictive, others are not. some have long term effects while others dont. some are legal in places, many have pharmeceutical uses.
