FTP clients and codec

Oct 20, 2003 15:47 FTP clients and codec
Well, this past week i played in a great 3x3. My team was: Severian, Saiyan, and myself. We played against: Stimpy, Lancelot, and Kasparov. Lastly, we played on Hellish Dream. It was one of those games that I could watch over and over again as momentum shifted from team to team and you never knew who would win. Well a day after the game, Severian told me he recorded it. So he walked me through how I could watch the game etc etc. I'm still downloading it, due my AOL, but I know it's going to be great. So, I suggest downloading FTP client and codec so you can also watch or record games. But, dont ask me how   I haven't really invested the time in learning it yet with my midterms etc etc.

I have to give credit to ud, who told me about the excellent
screen recording software camtasia studio. He used it for a
game we played the other day, and kindly allowed me to
download the recording afterwards.

He also encouraged me to set up a ftp server to facilitate ppl
downloading the files who might not be able to use dcc or p2p
stuff due to firewall issues.

I have downloaded a 30 day demo of the camtasia software
and have recorded a number of games with it now. Feel free
to ask me in irc to dcc one to you or get my ip address (it
isn't static) and ftp to it with user: uploads pw: uploads to see
my collection.

You'll also want the codec to view the .avi's it makes:

And a good ftp client:

Yeah, a lot of people use SmartFTP because it 1) works well and 2) it's freeware. I second Sev's recommendation of SmartFTP as an FTP client.
