Recording games
I have come across a great program for recording winbolo games recently
It is called Camtasia Studio.
Why is it better than spielborg?
First of all, I have nothing but respect towards the author of spielborg. However, it has many flaws that render it almost unuseable, imo. The reasons for that are as follows
1. You cannot record in double or quadruple size. This is a major problem because I only play in double size
2. It lags winbolo. The game becomes frame choppy on my computer, which is weird considering my computer can run most 3d games without any frame loss. Changing options did not help this, I tried almost all of them.
3. File size is huge.
4. Sound is non existent
5. You can only see the main window. It does not show you the scroll bar, nor does it show you the pill and base grid. All of which are crucial to see the overall gameplay.
6. The color is off
Camtasia Studio, which can be downloaded from www.download.com , is much much better. It can record sound from either your sound card or a mic. The quality is very good. It did not lag my system. (it did lag it after using it for a long time though, perhaps because I got memory fragged). The file size is much smaller, and you can even save it as a .avi or a flash movie.
The download is not full version, btw, so if you want to get all the features you will have to register it. If you are serious about getting it, either contact me or sev, who have both been highly successful in its use.
On another topic, anyone who is willing to host video files, which are fairly big (anywhere from 20 to 100 megs) for download please contact me.
