I've been thinking about running some sort of email service on winbolo.us I'd like to get some input on this.
Well actually I am in the middle of setting up forwarders so when you sign up to winbolo.net you can get <playername>@winbolo.net directed to your signup name automatically.
More detail on this:
1. This would be an option you can turn on or off.
2. You would also be able to change your email address mail will be forwarded to.
3. There will be an option to publicise that you have a forwarder.
The downside is anyone with spaces in their name would currently be ineligable for the service. These player names could be changed (to remove the spaces) manually on request.
Would anyone be interested in something like this?
couldn't you just have it replace the space with a _ it sounds interesting....so does the .us ones
Which would be fine until someone signs up using underscores in their name.
I beleave with having the .net redirects it would be useless to do the .us redirects......
Why on earth would anyone want to have a .us email anyway??!?!? If someone duz .us e-mails there should also be .ca emails and .de emails... You peeple have to remember that not all ppl r americans!

Maybe cause most of us are from the US, if ppl want an email for there country code, they can buy winbolo with there country code. btw I do beleave if you would read closly you'd see something about .net emails. Actuly redirects.

well, not to mention people might change email address's alot and can use it as a email forwarding system so that they can always get email from their fellow winbolo'ers. and also why would you want to give out your real email address to a bunch of people on the net that you might not know?.

uhhh people already have Email address, plus yahoo gives free ones...Most of the player that talk through the forums and mIRC anyway...the whole ".us" thing is a little unnecessary. The only thing it really does any good for is the winbolo URL's...So if anybody wants to make a wnibolo site or something it would be a simple URL showing they it is with winbolo giving it a little more professional look. :roll:

what's the difference between a .net one and a .us one.....?? there both good ideas.......i think its good that lrl is trying to do something for winbolo.......but everyone thats regulars or administration seem to try shutting down anyone thats trying to do anything good..........can we say.......power hungry......or........conceited?

I also knew that they are pretty much the same thing (i can read the post idiot), I just think that the .net sounds a lot better than the .us since the main page is www.winbolo.net. and i wuz not reffering to myself being conceited and power hungry, I was reffering to others and wuz just joking.
