Newbie FAQ

Being a newbie I have an appettite for information and have spent a lot of time gathering it from this forum and chatting with other people. While all of this stuff has been great what would be really helpful is a FAQ sent out with the registration information. I realize that the guys(and gals?) who maintain this site probably have far too much to do already so I think that we the devoted (maybe obsessed) members of the winbolo.net community should come up with a "newbie faq." Maybe we could help some newbie from screwing up a game and royally pissing off a whole bunch of people.

Q. Can I get winbolo for my Apple IIe?
A. Absolutely, just be sure to first pay the $53,671.03 fee using the pay pal link on the home page.

Q. What about logging onto winbolo.net with an Apple IIe?
A. Sure, but that'll be another $42,665.77.

Q. What are those round thingies I see in the game that have pointy red stubs sticking out of them all over the place on the map?
A. Those are nothing. Just let the other players take care of those.

Q. What about bases? Am I supposed to drive over those?
A. No. Let the other players take care of this.

yes, and if you accidentally drive over these round things and pick them up, please return them to other players.


also, you only get 5 lives, then when you die you have to give me the normal fee of 10$ canadian.

Man, this sucks. *sigh* I better start raising money, I guess.

Dallen, some of our veteran players have websites with useful newbie guides, such as the one provided by FireIce. You can have questions answered and get links from Winbolo Internet Relay Chat.

Oh, and Q didn't explain that in order to return the round thingies to other players, you must drive over at least 5 yellow spiky thingies near them or encourage your allies to shoot you at least 15 times or drive quickly over and into the blue colored sections of the map that have little wavy marks on them.. :wink: :wink:

also, you may be able to unlock the secret level on everard island if you find over the correct yellow spiky thing way out at sea and drive over it. only one of them does this though.

i did it i found the secret level......its got porn on it......yes.

No wonder $25 went to register winbolo!!! A secret level and Jesus' e-mail!!! Which ones are they? I spent 5 hours driving my tank into mines last night. Isn't that enough time?
