Edit: This was a post of mine made sometime ago asking the communitiy's view of moving the then current tournament into a different direction by way of a new organizer. As such nothing came of this and my part is edited out.

this is all nice choosing someone else, but do they have the time or even want to run another tourny? personally I'd pick Sev or elvis

Hello everyone. I appreciate being mentioned in this context as it is actually a very high honor to be considered worthy of running a tourny. I probably won't wind up trying to do that in the near future however for a few reasons:

1) Skywalker has done an excellent job with the current tourny so far, and I would gladly play in a future tourny if he was setting it up again.

2) Im really sort of lazy as far as all the legwork of setting things up, as well as following up on the players etc. etc. I would try, but I couldn't gaurantee that I wouldn't flake out here or there.

3) I wouldn't be comfortable playing in a tourny that I was organizing. At the very least there would need to be 3rd party arbitration for any match I was involved with. But then what about a game in my same bracket, such as if it was involving a potential upset of a strong player I might have to play otherwise? Man I just hate that ethical stuff -- it's bad enough when it *doesn't* involve you at all...

4) I just wanted to repeat -- Sky has really done a great job folks. When you consider how many people were saying it would crash and burn, he's pulled it off amazingly smoothly, and, in my mind, set the standard for any tournaments to come. Whatever criticisms you may have, just consider what else, up to this point, winbolo has had in the way of tournaments. Why not give Sky a chance to use what he has learned rather than have a potentially less able organizer make a whole nother set of 'first timer' mistakes.

Peace,

Severian

Since we're apparently nominating people in the wake of the dismal reviews given to Sky (I thought u did fine btw Nate), then I vote for Kax since he's an impartial dirtbag lawyer.

BTW... I'm not sure why Q-man decided this was a thread about who would win the tourney (other than because he's an idiot), but I'll follow his lead and say that I think Sev will win... as long as LRL doesn't hack! *snicker*

thank you. The final round should prolly start this week. btw. Severian has made it and Saiyan and LRL are tied 1-1.

I agree, Sky has done a good job. A few first time mistakes, but you live and learn.

But that's not true -- I'm very partial to my own amusement, and I guarantee you that the first round pairings would reflect it. Min and Ren, please step forward for your bout on Wild Bleeding Chickens.
